IRS Job Opportunities:
The Large and Mid-Size Business division of the Internal Revenue Service is hiring Internal Revenue Agents in Bristol , Charlottesville , Norfolk and Richmond VA. Jobs are also available in Baltimore and Wheaton MD. The first cut off date for applicants is January 27, 2008 . There are opportunities available at the GS-12 and 13 levels for accountants with several years of corporate accounting and tax experience. There are also specialist opportunities for accountants with experience in the areas of Financial Products or International Taxation. In addition, in the Maryland post of duties, there are entry-level internship opportunities for individuals who will attain a Master of Accounting or Taxation OR have a CPA license by August, 2008. The internships are full-time, permanent positions with advancement to the GS-13 journey-level in three years. Currently the GS-12 salary starts at $63,417 and GS-13 salary starts at $75,414 with cost of living increases each year. All employees will be entitled to the excellent benefits of federal employment, including a 40-hour workweek.
